Troubleshooting
Q: Why is my brand not appearing in any results?
A: This could happen if:
- Your brand name or domain is misspelled or too generic
- The AI models don’t have sufficient public content about your brand
- You're not being mentioned in answers to the configured topics
Solution:
- Double-check your brand name and spelling in the configuration
- Try adding alternate brand name formats or domain variations
- Expand your topic coverage or add more relevant ones
- Publish authoritative content that AI models can learn from (e.g., FAQs, blog posts, Wikipedia entries)
Q: My visibility dropped suddenly—why?
A: Sudden drops can be caused by:
- Updates in the underlying LLM knowledge base
- Competitors outranking your brand due to recent news or campaigns
- Removal of content that previously supported your mentions
Solution:
- Check the “Mentions Explorer” for recent changes in positioning
- Compare changes in competitor trends
- Refresh your content footprint in public AI-visible channels
Q: The sentiment score is low or dropping. What should I do?
A: Negative sentiment could be due to:
- Dated or inaccurate sources being cited (e.g., critical reviews)
- AI misunderstanding the context of mentions
Solution:
- Use the “Mentions” tab to read the specific responses
- Identify any problematic citations and update/correct those content sources
- Publish content that counterbalances or updates those impressions
Q: How do I know when data was last refreshed?
A: The top of your dashboard will show a timestamp for the last refresh and the next scheduled refresh.
Q: Can I reset or re-run prompts manually?
A: Editing topics or competitors will queue a fresh run in the next 24-hour cycle.
Q: How can I influence how AI mentions my brand?
A: You can:
- Improve your domain's presence on high-authority websites
- Publish topic-aligned, factual content that AI models can access
- Structure content semantically (using headings, FAQs, schema markup)
- Participate in conversations across forums and Q&A sites that AI indexes
Q: Can I get alerts for major changes?
A: Not yet—but alerting features (email/Slack for drops in visibility or sentiment) are on the roadmap.
