# AI Shopping Tracker
*Track how your products appear in AI-powered shopping recommendations — from high-level brand performance down to individual product and merchant intelligence.*

**1 Overview page**
Your brand’s AI shopping performance dashboard. Accessible via **Shopping and Ads → Overview**. Split into two tabs: **General** (your own performance) and **Competitors** (competitive benchmarking).
**Filters available across both tabs:** Date range · Markets · Topic · Products · Prompt type
**General tab**
Headline metrics at the top of the tab:

| **Shopping visibility** | How often your product appears in AI shopping card responses, as a percentage of all answers that include shopping cards. |
| **Direct purchase link share** | Share of shopping cards linking directly to your website versus a third-party retailer. |
| **Shopping share of voice** | Your brand’s share of total shopping visibility across all competing products in your category. |
| **Shopping rank** | Average position of your product in AI shopping card lists. Lower = higher placement. |
**Below the headline metrics**
* **Direct purchase link trend** — Time-series chart tracking your direct link share over the selected period, with previous-period comparison overlay.
* **Leaderboard** — Ranked table of your brand vs. competitors across shopping visibility and direct purchase link share, with period-over-period change indicators.
* **Shopping share of voice** — Color-coded bar chart showing how total shopping visibility is split across all brands in your competitive set.
* **Top products in the market** — Ranked product table toggling between All Brands and Your Brand, showing shopping visibility and direct purchase link share per SKU.
* **Performance by shopping topics** — Visibility and direct purchase link breakdown by product category (e.g., Running Shoes, Marathon Gear), with raw answer counts per topic.
**Competitors tab**
* **Strongest & weakest competitor highlights** — Four cards surfacing the top and bottom competitors by shopping visibility and direct purchase link share.
* **Shopping performance by brand** — Full brand comparison table across product count, shopping visibility, and direct purchase link share with period-over-period change.
* **Market comparison matrix** — Cross-tab of each brand’s performance across shopping topics. Switch metric between shopping visibility and direct purchase link using the dropdown.
**2 All Products page**
Product-level table of every SKU detected in AI shopping responses across your tracked prompts. Accessible via **Shopping and Ads → All Products**.

**Table columns**

| **Product** | Unique product name detected in AI shopping card responses, tracked even when AI platforms use inconsistent naming. |
| **Source type** | Classifies the product as belonging to your brand or a competitor. |
| **Owned by brand** | The brand that owns or manufactures this product. Unattributed products can be manually assigned using + Assign brand. |
| **Shopping visibility** | How often this product appears in AI shopping results as a percentage of all answers that include shopping cards. |
| **Answers** | Total AI answers that included a shopping card featuring this product. |
| **Direct purchase link share** | Share of shopping cards for this product linking to the brand’s own site versus a third-party retailer. |
| **Avg. rank in buy list** | Average position of this product in AI shopping card lists. Position 1 = shown first. |
| **Avg. price** | Average price quoted for this product across all AI answers where pricing was shown. |
| **Detected merchants** | Retailers where AI showed this product as available to purchase. Expand to see full merchant distribution. |
| **Detected aliases** | Alternative names AI platforms used for this product across responses. |
**3 Product detail side panel ◆ New**
Click any product name in the All Products table to open a five-tab intelligence panel for that specific SKU. Set a date range and period comparison independently at the top of the panel.
**Tab 1 — Overview**
Top-line metrics for this product:
| **Metric** | **What it shows** |

| **Shopping visibility** | How often this product appears in AI shopping card responses, as a percentage of all answers that include shopping cards. |
| **Citation share** | Percentage of AI answers that cited a web page as a source when showing this product. |
| **Direct purchase link** | Share of shopping cards for this product linking directly to the brand’s own website. |
| **Avg. price** | Average price quoted for this product across all AI answers where pricing was displayed. |
**Shopping visibility over time** — Daily or weekly trend chart for this product’s visibility across the selected date range. Toggle granularity (Daily / Weekly) and overlay the previous period for comparison.
**Platform performance** — Breakdown of this product’s shopping visibility and answer volume by AI platform (e.g., ChatGPT).
**Tab 2 — Prompts**
Every tracked prompt for which this product appeared in an AI shopping card response. Search by keyword to filter.

| **Answers** | Total AI responses for this prompt that included a shopping card. Clickable — opens the answer explorer. |
| **Products shown** | Total distinct products shown across all shopping cards for this prompt. |
| **Brands** | Brand logos of all brands whose products appeared in shopping cards for this prompt. |
**Tip:**
Prompts where ‘Your products’ = 0 but shopping visibility is high are direct content gaps — the query is driving AI shopping results but your brand isn’t appearing. These are priority optimization targets.

**Tab 3 — Merchants**
Every retailer or site where AI platforms are directing shoppers to purchase this product.

| **Quoted price** | Average price quoted for this product when this merchant’s link appeared in the shopping card. |
**Tab 4 — Competitors**
Products that co-appeared alongside this one in the same AI shopping card responses.

| **Co-appearance answers** | Number of AI answers where this competitor appeared in the same shopping card as your product. Clickable — opens the answer set. |
**Tip:**
Products with high co-appearance answers are your most direct AI-shopping rivals — they’re being recommended alongside yours in the same responses. Prioritize competitive positioning against these products first.

**Tab 5 — Cited sources**
Web pages AI engines cited as sources when recommending this product in shopping card responses.

| **Cited page** | Title and URL of the web page cited as a source. These are typically editorial, review, or comparison pages that influence AI recommendation logic. |
| **Citation share** | Percentage of AI answers for this product that cited this specific page. Higher = greater influence on when and how this product is recommended. |
| **Citing answers** | Total AI answers that cited this page while showing this product. Clickable — opens the relevant answer set. |
| **Track** | Adds this cited page to your Page Tracker for ongoing citation performance monitoring. |
**Tip:**
Pages with high citation share are the editorial sources most responsible for this product’s AI shopping visibility. Click + Track to monitor them — if a key page drops in citation influence, your product’s visibility is likely to follow.

**4 All Merchants page ◆ New**
A cross-product view of every retailer and third-party site where AI platforms are directing shoppers to purchase products in your category — across all brands, not just yours. Accessible via **Shopping and Ads → All Merchants**.
**Filters:** Date range · All Markets · Topic · Platform · Prompt type · Total answers in scope shown in filter bar
**Table columns**

| **% of buy links** | This merchant’s share of all AI shopping card buy links in the category — their overall weight as a purchase destination in AI responses. |
| **Avg. rank in buy list** | Average position of this merchant’s link when shown in AI shopping cards. Lower is better. |
| **Products linked** | Total unique products (across all brands) this merchant is linked to. Clickable — opens a filtered product view. |
| **Times as buy link** | Total times this merchant appeared as a buy link across all AI shopping responses in the selected period. |
| **Answers** | Total AI answers that included a shopping card linking to this merchant. Clickable — opens the answer set. |
| **Appeared on platforms** | Which AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT) surfaced this merchant as a buy destination. |
| **Market** | Geographic market(s) where this merchant’s links appeared in AI shopping responses. |
